Toys R Us Videogame Cartoon

Toys R Us is on its way South, if the news is any indication. It seems as though the once mighty toy giant can no longer hold its own against the toy departments of Wal-Mart, Target, and other discounters. There is speculation that the company may close or sell its stores and focus solely on the baby business.

With all of that going on, they've managed to find time to make a very clever and funny ad. The ad features a woman coming home from Toys R Us and announcing to her "boys" that she just bought Grand Turismo 4 at Toys R Us. Her two sons come bounding down stairs from the second floor. Then her husband comes flying down the steps and leaps over the banister to beat his kids to the game, crashing into the table below and destroying it.

Funny stuff, and drives home the point that some toys are for grown ups too. Unfortunately, the Toys R Us name gets sacrificed for the sake of a funny visual.
