Cingular -- 5 Bars Ads

Cingular's new ads touting the power of their network's signals are winners. The ads are a skillful blending of classic rock (Melissa by the Allman Brothers and The Weight by the Band), images of the product being used (lots of shots of people on the run and using the phone all over the place), and most importantly, neatly placed images of different items arranged to match the five bars that show signal strength on most cell phones. In the background of almost every shot in the ads, row homes, boat docks, people, dogs, carefully placed cabs, and other items become the small to large five bar icon.

They're great ads and they get their point across marvelously. The only downfall with the ads is that I didn't immediately connect them to Cingular.
